Scope
Patios and hardscapes, Outdoor kitchens and fire features

A covered flagstone patio with a hot tub, a fire area and enough shelter to stay in use well past the end of the season.

This one is about privacy and shelter rather than views. The patio is tucked under a solid roof structure with a ceiling fan and downlights, which is what makes it usable on a warm evening and in the rain alike.

Irregular flagstone gives the space a softer edge than a cut paver would, and it runs out to a gravel circle that holds the fire area without pulling the fire onto the finished stone. The stone wall behind the hot tub does the screening.

The furniture layout was planned into the paving rather than decided afterwards, so the seating group, the bar height chairs and the circulation around the hot tub all have the space they need.
